Weekend Musings: Falling into Fall

Weekend Musings | Falling Into Fall | Lessons by Sunny

This weekend was abundant with the sunshine I needed in my days. After a terribly exhausting week, these past two days were full of many moments where I found myself wanting to just look up at the clear sky with sparkling eyes.

Saturday morning was spent catching up with my momma, sharing stories and filling each other in on the many aspects of our days that we tend to overlook. After our much needed phone conversation, I slid on my trusty boots, wrapped a warm scarf around my neck, and headed off to a local coffee shop to read a little Fitzgerald and sip on a yummy latte.

The evening started with a little Mexican fiesta with friends from work. I chowed down on the best queso fundito and embarrassed myself like 4 times too many. Because I was oddly and incredibly popular on Saturday, I then made my way to Wasena Tap Room & Grill, a local place with tons of drink selections. I ordered a trusty cider (with an extra spike of Fireball because why not) and enjoyed the company of some closest friends.

For me, this weekend really marked the beginning of the season. And with every new season, comes a new beginning. May the changing leaves grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Cheers to that,

SRS
